Want to learn more about Rope Bondage? Want to try it safely for a first time? A tuition session is the ideal way for couples to safely try rope bondage and learn good and safe techniques.

Private tuition is available to couples and singles on a one-to-one basis. In your own home in the London area, or at my home in East London. Rates start from £40 per hour. Additional costs include travel (outside of London) and an extra person to practice on if needed.

Most people can grasp the basics with a two hours of tuition, additional sessions may be needed to develop your skills further.

Please be aware that I will only teach people who I feel are safe and competent, some ties and techniques carry more potential for injury than others. I am happy to teach suspension techniques including location-suspension-point creation but only for the more competent of riggers.

Below is a slideshow of recent bondage work for a book project, this is less about technical bondage and more about the people in the setting, but there is some nice work there anyway.

My bondage can be found in many places, as well as our own creative team producing books and prints I often rig bondage for other photographers so if you are looking at bondage images, photographs or movies it could well be my ropework you are looking at unless is specifically credits the rigger as someone else.

Tuition FAQ

Q. What length of lesson will I need?
A. I recommend 2 hours, I find that a good amount can be covered in this time without it being too much to take-in at once.

Q. Do you teach bondage for men as well as women?
A Men tying Men, Women tying Women, Men Tying Women, Women tying men, All can be covered, no problem at all.

Q. Can I take photo’s during a lesson?
A. You are welcome to take photos to help you remember what you did in the lesson, these are not for commercial use, personal use only. (commercial use can be arranged, see Rigging page).

Q. I have a physical disability, can I still tie / be tied up?
A. Physical disabilities can be worked around, even someone who’s completely immobile can be tied and can find pleasure in being so. There are also techniques that can be used to tie with physical disabilities. In both cases I have some experience with this and will come up with some suitable ties and techniques to teach you.

Q. What are the safety concerns with tying people up?
A. Safety concerns are many, from skin damage to nerve compression, blood-flow restriction, accidental movement of rope constricting the neck, asthma, panic attacks, the list really does go on.

Q. So is rope bondage safe?
A. It can be safe, it can be dangerous, do you run across a busy road blindfold or do you have your eyes wide open to any risks?

Q. Is rope bondage painful?
A. Again, it can be, though it’s not usually nearly as painful as it looks. It can be as comfortable as a corset or tight clothes, or you can be tied tight and in an uncomfortable position.

Q. Is there anything that prevents someone being tied up?
A. firstly and obviously, consent, anyone who doesn’t want to be tied up, shouldn’t be.
Low blood pressure is a factor that makes things difficult, and a tendency to panic attacks or claustrophobia is another issue but these and others can be worked with, it limits rather than prevents.
