We spend alot of time with rope, most days of the week we are tying people up, sometimes we're teaching, sometimes we're rigging rope for photoshoots, sometimes it's just for fun, but we do know a thing or two about rope!

The rope and hardware we have for sale here is the same stuff we use, every day, and it's good, if it wasn't we wouldn't sell it!
Because we are so busy tying people up we usually only ship ropes out weekly, on friday, for which the deadline for orders is 10pm (uk time) every thursday evening, this works well for us as we can plan our time better and it works well for our customers as they usually get their rope on a saturday morning (in the UK).

Our hemp ropes come in 6mm and 8mm (larger sizes available to special order), made from three strands, the fibres are particularly soft and after preperation is very soft on the skin with a slightly ‘fluffy’ finish. Custom lengths are available. Discounts available on 100+ metre orders.

Jute Ropes Premium Quality Bondage Rope

Our Jute ropes are currently only available in 6mm, the laid rope is three strand and has more definition than the hemp ropes above and a slightly darker colour along with being not quite as soft on the skin (but still soft enough to be very comfortable for bondage use), maximum length available 15m. The woven rope is solidcore jute-on-jute, not prone to twisting that can be a problem with laid rope, maximum length available 100m.

(This is a new line for us, we are now
 always carrying these for safety, the EMT shears are for general cutting and incase a second person needs to be cutting in an emergency, this escape knife is
 now are number 1 safety tool. We compared it cutting multiple 6mm hemp lines of a chest harness and the EMT shears took 4 seconds, this took around 1 second.)

This is the Escape Knife.
A very sharp blade (interchangeable, replacement blades included, cheap to buy more at hardware stores) cuts through rope or any other binds fast, especially good for ropes under load and designed to safely and quickly cut lines tight around the body.
Slip the smooth plastic tip under the ropes and pull down, the smooth edge will slip over the skin while the tip delivers the ropes right to the blade, along the cutting edge.

A super-efficient slicing tool that makes the most of its simple design and sturdy construction. The blade is high carbon stainless steel. The handle is a brilliant configuration of holes and finger notches that fits like a dream in your hand just so.

How much rope do I need?
Lengths of 10 metres are  ideal for most ties on most people but it depends on your style and the shape of your  subject, for larger frames 15 metres can work better.
For tying limbs, lengths of 5 metres are ideal.

• Collection can also be arranged from East London or our stall at LAM on the first sunday of every month.
• All mailed orders are sent in plain packaging, international orders requiring a customs form lists content as ‘Rope’.

• AUSTRALIAN quarantine sometimes stop our hemp rope orders coming into Australia, we can’t accept any responsibility or liability for any orders that have problems like this to any destination. We double-wrap all Australian orders in the hope they’ll get through.

Rope

• Our 6mm hemp has been load-tested and breaks around 700kg (1500lbs), that’s a multiple of 7x a large man, very rarely will a persons movement, even in suspension, cause a load multiple of 7 and very rarely would you suspend anyone on a single line anyway, 4 or 6 (2 or 3 doubled) is usually used.
• We also stock Jute rope, both laid and braided, darker than hemp but still very popular, see comparison photo at the top of the page.
• By special order we can prepare and supply larger hemp rope, see the table at the bottom of the page for guide prices and shipping guides.

Hemp & Jute rope is the preferred material for rope bondage and is used by professional performers and rope artists, particularly those following the more traditional Japanese styles of Shibari and Kinbaku rope bondage. It has a high burn speed making it comfortable and safe to use, it handles very well and has a way of going where you want it to, the feeling of it on skin and the addition of the unique aroma also add alot to the experience.

This is the same rope we use professionally every day.
